Implant Dentistry

Restoration of a gap, or replacement of multiple teeth is possible in many situations. Traditional treatments such as plates or bridges can have unacceptable consequences.
The placement of titanium implants in the form of a screw located into the jawbone enables the construction of a crown or bridge which can be attached firmly to the implant without involving other teeth. The implant, with its crown, mimics natural teeth and feels more like a tooth than other treatments.
Dental implants may also be used as an anchor under full upper and lower dentures to prevent movement, giving enhanced stability and comfort during eating.
In order to give a good and predictable outcome, records and xrays and a bone scan need to be taken. A thorough medical and dental history is taken to ensure the best option for our patients.
